First Learn Success

It’s better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one, than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.
— Whitney Young, Jr.

Many of us have hopes, dreams, and desires. These dreams could be owning a house, obtaining a more fulfilling career, or becoming healthier. But, how many of us would be able to capitalize on these goals if we were given the opportunity?

Before you try to chase your wildest dreams and greatest ambitions, first learn how to be successful. Why rush to college when you have poor study habits? Why start a family when you’re financially irresponsible?

When you spend your time learning how to be successful, you have the ability to do what you enjoy. If you have a change of passion later in life, you can change careers and do that successfully too. Successful people aren’t successful because they were born smarter, stronger, or faster. Successful people are successful because they have the skills of success. The unfortunate reality is that most aren’t prepared for the level of success they desire.

First, learn how to be successful, then learn what to be successful at.
